Our vision is companies cannot still managing their data projects as insulated silos. The data is the most outstanding asset for the whole company. Data must be governed and managed at the company level, nor business unit neither specific department or person at the organization. Data must be available for intelligence. A Data Platform isn’t technology, it is a vision. It’s a govern, operation and process model — defined for each company — that focuses on the data. A Data Platform uses modern technology to automate, distribute and operate data fluxes over the hardest conditions. These data fluxes can be data pipelines for data ingestion (from the source-system to the Platform) solving the so-called “data integration nightmare” can be data pipelines to operationalize machine learning and AI models solving what known as “the experiment syndrome”. Sometimes, these fluxes serve for post-processed data serving till business users and some other times, these fluxes assure the high availability and right operation of the whole platform.

Why a Data Platform.

If you don’t want to implement a data platform vision in your company it’s ok but, think about the following scenarios:

  1. Of course, you need third parties vendor software. All need. But, most of the modern companies offer their software as a service (SaaS). Think about how to manage dozens of third parties software as a service. How to manage the recurrent cost? How to manage security? and data privacy?
  2. Innovation. Buying solutions from vendors is necessary. Nobody can develop everything in-house. But, how will you develop your innovation leveraged on your data? If you just send your data to a SaaS software and simply look at the final result, who learns from your data?
  3. New business models rest on data. In the short term, sharing your data with vendors just to retrieve the result is easy, cheap and probably safer. But, did you consider the opportunity you’re loosing? Did you consider what new business and services you can discover from these data you easily share in return for nothing?
